Get into Business!

Like fun but hate math? No problem. The SpoCon business team isn't all numbers contracts! Unless that's what you like to do, then we have that as well. Smiling

We need people to help out with a variety of jobs such as room parties, hospitality, marketing, Mad Marmot Market, registration, purchasing, fundraising, dealers room and more.

Our position of Marketing Department Head is currently unfilled and we need someone with creative drive and vision to help get the word out about our great convention.

Gaming Department Vice Chair Selected

After several people expressed interest in the position of Gaming Department Vice-Chair I am very pleased to announce that the position has been won by Dawn Reed-Burton. Dawn was the Vice Chair for SpoCon in 2009 and she was the original Dealers Chair for SpoCon. She has a very robust gaming and convention resume and I am very pleased to welcome her back to SpoCon! Thank you Dawn, and thanks to everyone who expressed interest!

In Memory of Darrell K. Sweet

It was with heavy heart we received news of Darrell K. Sweet passing on December 5, 2011. Since the mid 1970s, Darrell’s illustrations defined many of our most beloved series—including Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time. He was also the illustrator for the well-known Xanth series by Piers Anthony, the Saga of Recluce series by L. E. Modesitt, Jr. and the Runelords series by David Farland as well as the original cover artist for Stephen R. Donaldson's series The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever.
