Since MisCon is our next "blitz" who is all going?

1 - I've secured us a room party room, #262. Now we need someone to man it / live in it / etc. I will be bringing Kelby (aka KellyKobra), and I may also be bringing my eldest daughter Tasia (aka binKies) and my granddaughter Evelyn (aka Teh Nublet). So I'll be staying in another room.

2 - I do not know if I'll have room to take extra person / persons, may have room to take some stuff. Small car, so don't plan on it.

3 - If at all possible, we should volunteer to help out where ever possible

4 - add to the list Smiling

That is awesome! Thank's Tim. I need to check to make sure we didn't overbook the party rooms by accident though. lol I reserved two party rooms, one for RadCon and one for SpoCon as well. lol I also rented one for myself for the weekend as well. I will check to see which room I have for that party room and get back with you.

I'm going and can man/watch the room. If I can co-live with Nick that would be great, otherwise I'll need to find a place to crash.

I can also drive and will most likely have room for three other adults and their gear. Nick, you're welcome to drive up with me. I'll ask better questions in person. =)

Lastly, I'd be happy to volunteer if they need it. If not, I am content to stay in the room so others can leave.

We will need "Room Party" coverage for Three Nights. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Here are my suggestions.

Friday, we have a "relaxed" event, where we encourage everyone to kick back, visit, talk, etc.

Saturday, we crank it up with a bucket o'MadMarmot, crank the tunes, and have fun.

Sunday, we wind it down, offer a place to once a again kick back and mingle.

Or something along those lines.

Update:

My eldest daughter who's in the Army has somehow managed to have a stress fracture in her hip (they think bootcamp) and is been cycled back a class in her Medic training so she can heal up, and thus shan't be making it home May 8th or so and will now be making it home on the 29th or 30th. This means she and her daughter will not be making it to MisCon this year Sad

This also means the double room I have for MisCon is 1/2 available if anyone needs a bed / crash space and and is willing to split the cost ($85 x 0.5 x 3 nights = $127.50, hell call it good at $125) let me know soon as I have other groups to make aware of this wonderful opportunity.

I as usual I will be gaurding the door and checking ID's. I would like to get a sheet printed with our rules for the room so people can view them before they enter. I also have the hand stamp which i will try my best to remember to bring.

Why is marketing being directed to talk with me? Should I be worried?

Turns out I can't be there for the entire time. I'll be driving in the opposite direction both Thursday evening and either Sunday or Monday. I may have to drop status to a 2-day-er. Grrr...

HEY!

There is one bed or 2 spots left in the party room for someone to crash and have sleep space for super cheap. I think you have to help with the party a bit but then get $25 a night rooms (I may be a little off on that).

PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE let myself or Rob know asap, as I'd rather not spend alot of money as I don't have alot.... I have a shiny black new car instead.

Who has the receipt book that we used at RadCon? Cash box?

Is there any plan to have paper registration forms? Or are we just doing the cards?

There wasn't an actual cashbox used at RadCon. We utilized the jar for tips and pulled money out when it got to be too much in there and stored it temporarily for safekeeping. The receipt book, I am largely confident was turned over to Patrick as well, along with the monies that were collected.

Concerning the paper registration forms, we will have those as we did at RadCon as well. We have people filling out the paper forms and then paying with credit/debit cards mostly. We had a few checks however.

This didn't really belong in the planning area, but still.

I have a copy of "Fanboys" which can be used as many times during the weekend as people want to watch it, projector, party, or wherever. Awesome movie, seen it 3 times already.

BTW I'm leaving at 9am Friday.

Jane of Seams Like Magik is willing to lug some stuff there for us, Is already taking Lego Pirates stuff for me. Would need to be at my house by 5 tonight as thats when she is going through and will only make one stop in town.

Please call me at 893-0318 if anyone is bringing anything over. I will be out and about starting at 2 pm and could pick up a trunk's worth of stuff, make arrangements at same ph#.
