Some of these pages can't be updated until all applicable contracts, etc are negotiated. However, we can get up-to-date info on most of them. If one of these pages is applicable to your department, please make the appropriate changes as you're able!
Kudos to Dana and Paula for getting your pages updated so quickly!

I "neutered" the Hotel / Housing page until we have more information. The information was from last year, and served no purpose. I left up "you iz gunna need to bring you own sheets"

I'm not seeing how I edit the existing page content. Anyone have instructions on how to do that, possibly in another thread or something?
John Ammon
Web Team Lead
There should be an "Edit" tab when you view the page, if there isn't one, you might need more permissions.
John Ammon
Web Team Lead
Or we may need to update ConCom permissions.
Chad Davis
Nope, I don't see an edit tab, only view and track.
John Ammon
Web Team Lead
Alright, I'll get Stan on that, he's sort of the "permissions" guy
Stan
Web Team Lead
It should work now, Chad. Let me know.
Chad Davis
Edit works now and I have taken the existing gaming pages down to minimal content. I'll need to get some pointers for coding the pages, though. It's been a LONG time since I've done any raw html coding.
John Ammon
Web Team Lead
Don't worry about that so much, if you'd like, we can have a sit-down with you and facilitate something similar to what we did for the Guests, only for gaming, we just need to know what kind of content you'll be wanting to add to the the gaming pages.
Dana Casper
Writing Competition, Education Department
Please update my permissions as well. I need to be able to Edit the Writers' Competition pages and all I have are View and Track. Thanks. =)

You should be able to update the Writer's Competition page now, Dana.

This coming Sunday I'll update the list with pages that still need changed/added, just to keep things flowing. Great job with the work on these so far, everyone!

Stan and John. Thank yoo SOOOO MUCH for your responsiveness and attentiveness to these very important issues!! Way to go!

I still don't see any Registration link - to pay by PayPal. Is that coming soon or am I just missing something?
Thanks

I put a "info coming soon" type deal on the Fan Tables and set myself up as the contact.
.... we need more ConCom to handle all this. Should be okay for now, we'll see how things roll.
I'm with Heather -- would like to pay my membership for 2010 by the end of the month. What is our PayPal address again? Payments@spocon.org? or? Should be able to send funds directly without registering - yes?

The pre-reg link exists, but it's not visible yet, mostly because we have to re-test the system and make sure that it all still works, we also need to talk to Registration and make sure they don't want any changes/additions (also, I think they have the final say for when the online registration goes live). So pre-reg is "coming soon".

Another major update that should be done asap is the Contact page. I know it's mentioned but until all the info is available someone should delete the 2009 info at the very least. Looks bad for us to not have current contact information up.
Dana Casper
Writing Competition, Education Department
PS. Thanks Stan, but it still only lists View and Track. =/
John Ammon

I'm presently working on the contact page, it will be done when I can get it done. And past experience has shown that it's better to have outdated info than no info at all.
Rob McDonell
Chairman
Well, can't argue too much with that bit of wisdom. Just as long as it doesn't go to far and such. Can you get that hammered out by the end of December?
Rob

quite possibly.

John,
I was just gonna say the same thing about the contacts page, but am very glad to hear that it is being worked on. Thanks for doing such a good job with the website.
John Ammon

Contact page is working again.
I've included a contact form this time as well as a dynamically generated list of users. People who have ConCom privileges will appear on this list, and will then be sorted by the "department" specified in their profile. I've placed people to the best of my knowledge, if you're in the wrong department, please update your profile. This should allow us to have a more up-to-date contact page without needing to be editing it constantly.
Stan

I've updated the original post to reflect the changes that have been made. Thanks to everyone who has been posting content up on their pages, you're awesome!
As far as external sites, the MySpace one has been updated, but Facebook and Upcoming Cons have not. If you know who has the power to change those, please give that person a poke.
Tim Martin
The Quartermaster
Is there a way that we can "archive" the threads relating to the 2009 Con? Maybe a "2009" folder or the like?
I think it may be easier for our members to find relavant / current information.
