Criteria for Judges

To avoid any confusion and misunderstanding, we are posting the qualifications and rules given to our writing contest judges.

• Each judge must have a BA in a writing-related degree or be a published author.
• No judge may submit an entry.
• Each entry is sent sans author name/entry form to two or more judges for critique and is graded on a 1 to 5 point scale. (Scale criteria to be posted later.)
• Judges must commit to frequent communications.

In return for their time, judges are offered the volunteer rate for SpoCon registration and may sit on Literature panels as panelists or moderators.
