WE NEED LOTS ‘N LOTS OF REAL LARPers!
Please encourage anyone you may know and/or do whatever you can do to help us pull together the number of real LARPers that will be necessary for this project. Forward this email to your entire address book?! Shout from the street corner?! … Anything to help make sure we pull this off in our little town.

PROJECT: Knights of Badassdom (synopsis below). Not yet rated (likely R)
PRODUCER: NxNW Productions
VENUE: Feature Film
SHOOT LOCATION: Spokane, WA
CHARACTERS: Extras/Background. LARPers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_action_role-playing_game)
We are searching for real LARPers … those who participate(d) in LARPing and have developed a character with costume. We will also be booking ‘newbie’-LARPers … those who may or may not have costumes … these could be anyone, they do not have to have LARPing experience; but all must fit the following specifications:
Male or Female. Must be 18 or older and need to play between the ages of 19 – 40. They should appear to be the sort of people that would be gamers/role players. This is a very physical film. These people will possibly be "fighting" using foam swords/foam shields, other weapons. So, their looks and agility should reflect that.
SHOOT DATES:
Real LARPers: July 21 - August 4
Newbies n others: July 9 - July 14
The majority of people will need to commit to all dates in the block. There will be a handful that will only be needed 1 or 2 days, but we won't be able to break down until we have more information.
CALL TIMES:
There will be day, evening and into overnight call times. We will not know the exact call time for any given day until the day before. We need to know that you could be available for the dates listed from whenever the call time will be until they tell you to stop.
RATE: $68 (after agency commission) for up to 10 hours. OT after 10 hours at 1.5.

Film Synopsis

A huge community of dedicated, costumed LARPers (Live Action RolePlayers), dressed like knights, elves and various characters, give up their phones, pads ‘n’ pods and take to the woods for the Washington State Knights of Badassdom Adventure Society. They are set to re-enact a mythical dungeons and dragons scenario straight out of the Middle Ages.
After being dumped by his sexy girlfriend Beth, Joe reluctantly decides to join Eric and his LARPing friends in the woods rather than stay behind and brood about his newly-acquired single status.
He meets hot, ass-kicking, intimidating huntress LARPer Gwen, and finds himself in a surreal adventure wilder than he ever imagined when a make-belief wizard casts an all-too-real spell from an ancient book he bought on Ebay. Unaware of the real power of the spellbook the wizard releases an actual demon with a taste for human blood and souls.
With gruesome, chilling and unrelenting ferocity the demon systematically decimates the players in this suddenly deadly "game."
Will our guys become the heroes they have been pretending to be before time runs out?
