Jazzed does not even begin to describe how I am feeling about our 2009 event. We learned so much in 2008 to help make this year amazingly amazing.

With me, I put way more work into this than I bargained for. Went all "Martha Stewart" on it and I hope it shows. The wife said it was like I was some girl planning her wedding. Yeah, that's pretty much it. =)

Super-psyched!

HOLY CRAP CHRIS! Thom IS going to SpoCon! He is in the group of guys coming and doing improv there or something? I don't know all the details all I know is that he is going and I am possibly even more excited than before.

I just might explode. It happens sometimes.

Spocon is, quite easily, one of the best things to EVER happen in Spokane. I cannot wait till it is bigger than the mega cons and becomes the Dragon/Gen/SDCC/Akon-con of the Pacific Northwest! With the people that have been working on it thus far, I know it will be all that and much more.

Thanks everyone for all their hard work and time volunteered to make this event happen for all of us fans.

Thank you.
While we see SpoCon growing, we also see SpoCon staying focused on the Fans, and keeping the "home town" feel. Unlike the MegaCons, we like to have our Guest and Pro's feel comfortable being active parts of the Convention. The feedback we get from the Fans is vital as well. Most, if not all the changes we have implemented for 2009 were Fan suggestions, programming has a great deal of Fan input. And.. the Fans are what make SpoCon what it is. I personally feel it's something that is growing into a true community event. As long as we can keep Illuminati Rob's dreams of world domination in control, I think we'll be fine Eye

I still think it's a bit scary Nick is dreaming about this. Then again, he's programming chair and this close in this is all he pretty much does.

Then is the monumental job of the Spoconites to create a balanced con that is Mega and "home towney".... I think that is not only possible, but will make Spocon all the more unique.

Just imagine a small town con that serves fresh squeezed lemonade and tucks you in at night all while dominating the world!!!

When did you see our plans? You are either going to have to be on the ConCom now or have your mind wiped... those were SEKARET plans for world domination. Dang. Now we are going to have to use something besides lemonade.

we had around 700 last year, our projected attendance for this year could be anywhere between 800 and 1200, so probably around 1000 Eye But we won't actually know until Sunday afternoon/evening Laughing out loud

Minute Maid, it's cheaper and has less pulp than Simply Lime Eye

The pulp helps conceal the mind control elixir tho... we'll have to work on that.

You aren't supposed to tell people about the elixir BEFORE they drink it!

I say we go with the pulp. It's yummy and functional at the same time.

I've always been curious about how cons count the attendance. Is that 700 individuals or 700 tickets sold or 700 person days? Smiling

Aka, if I show up for all three days do I count as three people or one?

You would count as one Eye 700 was total individuals, kids, concom, guests, dealers, everyone, over all three days. Which is pretty good, considering most Northwest conventions see between 200-400 total in their first year. We smashed that record with the mighty warhammer of our righteous awesomeness. Laughing out loud

...like maybe Mike's Hard Limeade? It comes with a mind controlling elixir already plumbed into it!

Remember you have to buy enough for all 1000+ of us at the con.... I am going to need at LEAST 2 shots, myself, for the mind controlling elixir to even get started...

Late response, but, what the heck...

If it's not homemade, then it's not good enough for our Guests and Pro's! Anything less than home made limeadie would be inadequate Eye
