Warhammer 40K
I want to see a 40K tournament at SpoCon again.
I know some local gamers see it as just "a $35.00 tournament." They don't see it for what it really is, a great convention, that includes an awesome tournament with excellent terrain and top-notch opponents.
Many Spokane-area 40K players go to OFCC and pay $45 and up. Some travel to Grand Tournaments and pay somewhere around a hundred bucks. I am not saying SpoCon will be on par with a GT (YET!) but it is excellent and you can play in multiple gaming events, tournaments etc and do much, much more!
I would like to play in WARMACHINE, Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy Battles touraments all in the same weekend.

One way to get SpoCon to grow is to incorporate events within the event. For example, about 5% of the membership in 2008 was from ClanHOOD -- a gaming group that has been around for a decade and decided to hold a "HOODFest" within SpoCon. For 2009 they will be back, and with more members. An international hardware enthusiast group is doing some organizing to hold a "WestCoast" gathering withing SpoCon -- most are fans what SpoCon is all about anyway, so why not? Why no promote a Grand Tournament within SpoCon? Between rounds, they can check out panels and other events happening around the Con.
The more, the merrier!

Well Met Battle Brothers ...
There are a lot of good games listed on the Gaming Page, including a Warhammer 40K tournament on Saturday.
We also have sched Apocalypse games (Friday night), Dark Heresy, about 10 hours of related panels, including 3 painting programs, and a soon-to-be-released limited-edition rare tournament!

Chris is the Apoc still on for Friday? How do we sign up and what is the points level?
Big C Chris Snell
Hey Ivan ...
We have an Apocalypse game scheduled for Friday night.
I don't know the specifics yet.
We also have a Neophyte (newcomer / N00b ) tournament scheduled on Friday night with some Apoc coordinators helping judge that tournament.
We will let YOU know more as we know more!
