SpoCon 2010 -- Guest Update
Submitted by Tim Martin on Thu, 08/20/2009 - 11:59am
While we work on the back-end of the website (functional upgrade stuff... the stuff techies like me love) we thought we would let you know that we are alive around here and have been working on 2010.
Guest of Honor: Michael Whelan
Guest Author: Tanya Huff
Ghost of Honor: Sir Arthur C. Clarke
(yes, we have Ghost of Honor)
We are working out details on more Guests, and chatting with a number of folks coming back as Pros, as well as a few new ones. Hey, those pictures we take are coming in handy...

Wow! Neat I am super excited!!
.f.r.e.a.k.
Is posting up some '09 photos one of the things you techies are doing?
Cause I want to see them!

John instructed me not to put up any 09 photos here until after we've completed all the back end changes for the site. I do have lots of great photos, and I'd love it if everyone who has pictures or video from the convention could email those, or find some other way to get them to me so I can get them online as soon as the site's ready. My email address is stand@spocon.org
I have posted a limited selection of the 09 photos on my flickr page at http://www.flickr.com/photos/29kproductions/sets/72157621860431949/
Thanks! And again, if anyone has photos or video from the convention, I'd love to get ahold of 'em!

I demand that Sir Clarke's ghost be given regular appearances and lectures, including "Getting back into writing after death."

I demand that Sir Clarke's ghost be given regular appearances and lectures. . .
While this may have been stated tongue-in-cheek, I need to remind ConCom that there are those out there that would take this guest appearance all too seriously.
Thus, for the sake of being thorough, I "demand" that the identity of Sir Clarke's ghost be verified by an independent 3rd party. I am more than willing to give his handlers/summoners a double-blind test to make sure everything's legit.
Hate to see anyone get ripped off here.

I can assure you we've been given the proper authorization and that our Ghost of Honor is "official" in every manor.
